COMPOSITE REINFORCING

Reinforced composites comprise a high-strength additive included with the virgin resin. The additive is usually glass, carbon, or Kevlar fiber. These fibers may be random, oriented, or in a mat format. In some cases, fine metal shavings are used.

Exciting new technologies are dramatically increasing and improving the methods available to reinforce and strengthen foundations, beams, supports and other structures.

CONCRETE RESTORATION SERVICES recognized the importance and value of FRP carbon fiber and FRP glass fiber applications using them extensively in bridges, schools, parking garages, highways supports, etc.

CONCRETE RESTORATION SERVICES is also the Canadian distributor for the industry leading Replark ® Carbon Fiber and Rotafix technology.

FIBRE-REINFORCED POLYMER

Fiber-reinforced polymer (often simply “FRP” or “fiberglass”) is a composite consisting of a polymer resin matrix reinforced by embedded glass fibers. The strength of a fiberglass part is determined primarily by the type, orientation, quantity, and location of the composite’s glass fibers.
